Breathwork is one of the most powerful tools for healing and transformation available to us. Unlike other modalities, it works directly with your nervous system, the control center of your entire being.

What Happens During Faster Breathing

When you accelerate your breathing rhythm, you activate your sympathetic nervous system ... your body's "fight or flight" response. This controlled activation creates a cascade of physiological changes: your heart rate increases, blood vessels dilate, and your brain becomes flooded with oxygen. What if I've never done breathwork before?

Perfect! PranaMatrix is designed for all levels, from complete beginners to experienced practitioners. There is no prerequisite knowledge or experience needed. Our facilitators will guide you through every step, and you can go at your own pace. Many of our most profound transformations happen with first-time participants.

What should I do to prepare for my journey?

Come well-hydrated and avoid heavy meals 2-3 hours before your journey. Wear comfortable, loose clothing. Set a clear intention for what you want to release or heal. Arrive 10-15 minutes early to settle in. Most importantly, come with an open heart and willingness to feel whatever arises. There is no 'right' way to do this.

Are there any contraindications or reasons I shouldn't do PranaMatrix?

While breathwork is generally safe, please consult with your healthcare provider if you have: severe heart conditions, uncontrolled high blood pressure, recent surgery, pregnancy (especially first trimester), or severe mental health crises. If you're on psychiatric medications, discuss with your doctor first. We want to ensure this is the right modality for your current health status.

What happens after my journey?

​After your journey, you'll spend time integrating the experience. You may feel deeply relaxed, emotionally open, or energized. Some people experience continued releases over the next 24-48 hours (emotional waves, physical sensations, vivid dreams). This is normal and part of the healing process. Stay hydrated, rest when you need to, and journal about your experience. Avoid intense exercise or stressful situations for 24 hours.

Can I do PranaMatrix if I have trauma or PTSD?

Yes, and it can be profoundly healing for trauma. However, we recommend discussing your specific situation with our facilitator beforehand. A private session is often ideal for trauma work, as you receive personalized guidance. Our facilitators are trained in trauma-informed breathwork and will create a safe container for your healing.

How often should I do PranaMatrix?

This depends on your goals and capacity. Some people do one session for a specific intention. Others do monthly sessions for ongoing healing and integration. Some do intensive series (weekly for 4-6 weeks) for deeper trauma work. We recommend spacing sessions at least 1-2 weeks apart to allow for full integration. Your facilitator can help you determine the right frequency for your journey.

What's the difference between group and private journeys?

Group sessions (3-15 people) offer the power of collective healing and shared energy. You're held by the group container while doing your individual work. Private sessions offer one-on-one facilitation tailored to your specific needs, intentions, and healing journey. Choose group if you want community and shared energy; choose private if you want maximum personalization and depth.

Will I lose control during the journey?

No. You remain in control throughout. Your eyes are closed and you're in a safe container, but you're fully conscious and aware. You can speak, move, or pause at any time. Our facilitators are present to support you, not to direct your experience. The breathwork creates the conditions for release, but your body and psyche determine what happens.

What if I don't experience anything dramatic? 

Every experience is valid and perfect for you. Some people have cathartic releases with tears and vocalizations. Others experience subtle shifts in energy, clarity, or peace. Some people's most profound healing happens silently. Trust your process. Healing isn't always loud or visible, sometimes it's a quiet recalibration of your nervous system.

Can I do PranaMatrix if I'm on medication?

In most cases, yes. However, please inform your facilitator about any medications you're taking, especially psychiatric medications, blood pressure medications, or stimulants. Breathwork can amplify the effects of some medications. Your doctor or psychiatrist should be consulted, especially if you're on medications that affect your nervous system. We want to ensure safe, optimal results.

How long does it take to see results?

Many people feel shifts immediately, during or right after the session. Some experience deeper integration and results over days or weeks. Healing isn't always linear. You might feel amazing for days, then experience emotional waves as your body continues to process. This is all part of the journey. Most people notice significant changes in their nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and sense of peace within 2-4 journeys.

What if I have a strong emotional release?

Emotional releases—tears, laughter, shaking, vocalizations—are signs that your nervous system is processing and releasing what it's been holding. This is healthy and healing. Our facilitators are trained to hold space for all emotional expressions. You're safe to feel whatever comes up. After the journey, you'll have time to integrate and ground yourself before leaving.
